Board the Celebrity Solstice® in Seattle, Washington, for a cruise to ports in Alaska and Victoria, British Columbia. After a relaxing day at sea, arrive in Ketchikan, Alaska, the “salmon capital of the world,” where you can admire totem poles in the park or have a meal at the renowned Alaska Fish House.
Sit back and relax on the ship deck as you sail to and through Tracy Arm Fjord the next morning, marveling at the towering granite walls surrounding the inlet and the striking Sawyer Glaciers at the end of the fjord. In the afternoon, arrive in Juneau, the state capital. Head to downtown Juneau to see Gold Rush-era buildings and the city’s first saloon, Imperial Bar.
Next, it’s off to Skagway, Alaska, a town steeped in Gold Rush history and known today for panoramic sightseeing in vintage trains along the White Pass & Yukon Route railroad. In the evening, the ship will travel along the Inside Passage, a scenic protected waterway. It is one of just a few in the world where cruise ships can sail so close to mountain walls.
After another refreshing day at sea, sail to Victoria in Canada and enter the beautiful Inner Harbour. Venture out to see the British Columbia Parliament Buildings and chateau-style Fairmont Empress hotel, or go back out on the water for a whale-watching tour. Finally, it’s back to your last destination, Vancouver. Extend your stay here and visit the Aquarium, Capilano Suspension Bridge and Stanley Park.
• Make sure to bring binoculars so you can see as much as possible from aboard the ship when cruising Tracy Arm Fjord and the Inside Passage, including a wide range of wildlife.
• If the weather is right, Juneau has an array of outdoor activities to choose from, like hiking, sea kayaking, rafting and wildlife tours.
• Skagway is known by the Tlingit as Skagua, meaning windy place.
• With the mildest climate in Canada, Victoria’s famous Butchart Gardens blossom year-round, ensuring a stroll will be filled with a spectrum of colors and fragrances whenever you visit.
