Arctic Circle & Husky Fun in Lapland Travel

Check the night sky for aurora borealis, go on husky & reindeer rides, see Santa & more on this Platinum DreamTrip

About Your Trip
On this family-friendly, fully escorted Platinum DreamTrip, you’ll head to the Arctic Circle in Finland, the land of dog sleds, reindeer and Santa Claus. Your Lapland adventure begins with a very popular bucket-list item — the northern lights! Put on your warmest clothing and journey to the outskirts of Rovaniemi for a possible viewing of the aurora borealis that lights up the night sky in bursts of spectacular colors and shapes. While there, you’ll savor scrumptious sausages roasted over a fire.

In the morning of Day 3, bundle up for a reindeer-drawn sleigh ride through the wintry forest. Try your hand at “driving” for a reindeer-driving license before visiting Snowman World — a magical place where everything is built out of snow and ice! Interact with real snowmen and slide down daring snowy hills. Then, get a glimpse into St. Nick’s very merry life at Santa Claus Village. Meet the magical man himself and send a note to friends back home from his official post office. Before leaving, you’ll receive a certificate for crossing the Arctic Circle, which runs directly through the village.

Next up is a snow day filled with exhilarating activities in the Arctic Circle. Let your inner child run free as you strap on some snowshoes and take to the Lappish winter wonderland of snow-covered trees and serene open spaces. Stay toasty with a delicious lunch in a log cabin built in 1967. Then, you’ll go on an exciting morning dog-sled ride at a husky ranch before heading to SantaPark to visit Mrs. Gingerbread’s Bakery, the Elf Workshop, Ice Gallery & Ice Bar, Santa’s Office and much more. While there, try your hand at calligraphy and elf school to earn your Elf Trainee Hat!• Lapland is also one of the best places in the world to see the mesmerizing glow of the northern lights, which grace the sky about 200 nights per year.
• There are more reindeer — around 20,000 more! — than people in Lapland.
• The Ice Bar at SantaPark stays true to its name — virtually everything in it is made of ice, including the beverage glasses.
